Ajialon Start to Now

My professional journey began in my hometown of Danville, VA, where I gained valuable experience and honed my investing skills from my biological father. I grew up in an entrepreneurial environment with my step-father owning the 1st Black Radio Station in Danville. I watched him matriculate through the challenges of being a black business owner in the seventies. My mom worked hard as Licensed Practical Nurse until she had to retire from illness.

I remember her working double shifts and keeping me close to my grandparents.

I completed a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Hampton University. I was recruited from campus to work at Pittsburgh National Bank as a Financial Analyst. I continued my corporate climb as I got married and had two children. Ajiona and Alonzo Ill were the wind beneath my wings to continue to soar. The name AJIALON is a combination of both their names.

When my mom got sick and was dying, the company I worked for gave me a choice of going to be with Mom or go a Board Meeting that I had all documents prepared and ready for presentation. I was on FMLA and they fired me. I filed a lawsuit and took the payout. I only asked for one year of severance and they gave me three years of pay with a nondisclosure agreement. My attorney at that time said "I must have something on them, they sent the bigwigs to defend them". I forced them to pay it out over 3 years to avoid being hit with huge tax obligation. It was during the time when Real Estate took a big hit and prices were low. I bought several properties and never looked back at Corporate America.

After missing out on many of my children's life events due to demanding work schedules, I decided to pursue entrepreneurship to regain control over my time and be more present for my family. I chose real estate as my path because of my deep-rooted connection to the industry from my father. He taught me that everyone needs a place to lay their head and when you own real estate you own from heaven to hell. No one can take it from you. I took it a step further by honoring my ancestors and acquiring as much real property as possible

As a licensed realtor, I had access to all the deals before they hit the market. I used the knowledge from fellow investors to build my portfolio. When I learned that apartments didn't allow people with bad credit, low income and past life mistakes to rent, I converted all my single family homes into SRO (Single Room Occupancy) which is basically "Rooms for Rent". I called them family houses or transitional homes because the tenants had all the amenities of home for one price. They have central heat and AC, furnished room with cable and Wi-Fi. The renters can choose to pay weekly or monthly. The Eastern Division Ajialon is dedicated to providing housing solutions to residents with a diverse range of needs and circumstances. My clientele consists of individuals who may face challenges in securing housing through traditional avenues. We offer a variety of options, including rooms for rent, apartments, condos, and single-family housing, ensuring that there's something suitable for everyone. When all of my parents died early, l inherited all their property in Danville which is now my Western Division.

Now, for over two decades, I have been serving residents of Virginia, providing quality housing at affordable rates in Hampton Roads and Danville areas. My goal has always been to move out of the US to a Caribbean Island where I could be unapologetically Black. Two years ago, I found the perfect place in Jamacia. My college roommate who is a travel agent, tipped me that American Airlines was going to start flying into one of the private airports in St Mary Parrish. I purchased a property that sits on the hill overlooking the airport and the ocean. I'm anticipating taking Ajialon Properties International!
